100 series Taylor guitars feature a layered Walnut back and side tonewood complement. Layered wood, while not producing as complex of a tone as solid wood, is less susceptible to weather damage. It has – what may be deemed as – the appeal to the traditionalist in having a Dreadnought body shape, but pick it up and find its 1 11/16” nut width to have a narrower feel than most Dreadnought guitars, making it all the more accommodative for a greater playing experience.
