The Old Blood Noise Excess V2 is a curious creation. Both building upon and scaling down the effect experience of the original OBN Excess, the team at Old Blood Noise have made their classic distortion and modulation pedal even more accessible.
This updated version of Old Blood Noise’s “Distorting Modulator” features independent modulation and distortion effects. Three unique modes of modulation populate the Excess V2, including delay, chorus, and fifth – each with volume, time, and depth controls for deep and interactive modulated goodness. Whether you’re jamming with harmonized fifths or classic modulated delay, the Excess V2 expands on the already famous Excess formula.
The Excess V2’s distortion side is easily shapable with streamlined Gain, Tone, and Volume controls to roll through boosted overdrive and fuzzy distortion. On top of having access to these two effects concurrently, players have the option to set the effect order to their liking – modulation first, distortion first, or in parallel. Expression connectivity enhances and expands the playability of the Excess V2 for a deep effect experience.
