This 1987 Martin OM-28 was ordered through the Mandolin Brothers on April 4th, 1987. It has a beautiful straight grain Brazilian Rosewood back and sides. The top is AAA Sitka Spruce with scalloped bracing and a herringbone purfling. The soft shape V neck measures 1 ¾” at the nut and 2 ¼” at 12th fret. The ebony long saddle belly bridge has a 2 5/16” bridge string spacing.
This Martin is in very good shape for its age though it has had some repairs. Recently it had a neck reset and refret. There is also a crack in the back that was repaired at one time that is now stable. The wings of the bridge were also re-glued. This guitar is very clean with very minor playwear and includes the original Martin thermoplastic case.
