This Custom Shop Telecaster is based off a 1963 model year Tele, but finished in Nocaster Blonde, and comes loaded with a Broadcaster bridge pickup. It’s an interesting amalgamation of features, and almost characterizes an early “Parts-caster”. Many famous or legacy artist owned Fender guitars featured non-matching year bodies and necks. (A known example would be Stevie Ray Vaughan’s “Number 1” Stratocaster, which featured a 1961 Strat neck on a 1959 body.)
Period correct to 1963 on this Custom Shop Tele are the logo and 3-ply mint green pickguard. There is an unseen modern feature – a 9.5″-12″ compound radius. For increased playability, this Tele comes factory loaded with 6105 frets.
This Tele is a fantastic player with lots of output. The middle position seems to have slightly more articulation than other Teles thanks to its Broadcaster/Twisted Tele pickup configuration. All case candy and Custom Shop accessories are included.
Guitar has had one previous owner. Guitar is in “Like New” condition, albeit is features a heavy relic package.
