Due to the handcrafted nature of these pedals, the colors change frequently and our photos may not reflect what we have at the moment.
The Farm Pedals Boost of the Dead is a buffer and drive pedal made in homage to legendary guitarist Jerry Garcia. Taking inspiration from the Grateful Dead guitarist, the Boost of the Dead is a take on two famous circuits used by Garcia. The dual-headed pedal combines recreations of the Tiger Buffer and Stratoblaster circuitry in a single stompbox. The right footswitch engages the Tiger Buffer circuit to clean up low ends and enhance signal clarity while the left footswitch engages the Stratoblaster circuit to thicken single coils and add extra bite to humbuckers. Using a single dial to control the gain of the Stratoblaster circuit, the Boost of the Dead is simple and streamlined to quickly introduce some Grateful Dead tones to the mix. While not intended to be a perfect recreation of the wide array of sounds made by Garcia and his custom builds, the homegrown tones of the Boost of the Dead meld well with the vibes of Farm Pedals and are sure to impress.
Individually handmade, every Boost of the Dead may not look identical. They may vary in color and stamp design, though the tones summoned are universally cool and classic.
