This guitar is the very definition of a head-turner (and it’s called the king of flat tops for a reason). Gibson spared no expense in reproducing this 1960’s icon. You have everything here like the marquetry on the neck and back, the gorgeous sunburst nitro finish that extends all the way on the back of the 60’s spec neck with binding over the frets, beautiful pearl inlays on the rosewood fretboard as well as the solid 60’s replica mustache bridge, and a hand-painted casted pickguard. We can’t forget to mention the gold keystone tuning machines and the gold plated tune-o-matic bridge. Tonally, this is big and boomy with equal parts depth/bass and brightness/chime. It is a remarkable piece that would be a great addition to any collection.
Cosmetically, this guitar is in excellent condition. It needed some bridge work when it came to us so we gave it a proper bridge reglue and now it is ready for it’s forever home.
