This Rickenbacker 4001 (Mono Version) was crafted in March of 1969. It features a Mapleglo finish with the triangular pearloid inlays on its fretboard. The bass features the original pickups, first-generation Rickenbacker High-Gain in the bridge position and a Rickenbacker Toaster in the neck position.
This bass is in very good condition. It has a replacement pickguard and truss rod cover, tone knobs, nut, and has been refretted. The binding along the body has been repaired and a fresh layer of nitrocellulose lacquer has been applied at some point. The OHSC is included with sponges glued to the top of the inside to prevent the bass from moving.
