The Epiphone Embassy Bass has been a fan fave since its release back in 1963 and now it’s back with some welcomed modernizations.
The asymmetrical double-cut body is all mahogany dressed in a nice glossy Sparkling Burgundy finish with nice, rounded edges and some contouring on the back. The Historic Bass tune-o-matic bridge and claw tailpiece lend vintage vibe while keeping tuning and intonation in check.
The all mahogany neck is crowned with an Indian laurel fretboard that’s decked out with 20 medium jumbo frets with easy access all the way up thanks to the double-cutaway. The 34″ scale is considered common on basses these days but was one of the first of its kind upon relase and the updated 2×2 tuners help keep the balance.
The pickups are Epiphones ProBucker 760 humbuckers for powerful punch and booming bass. Master volume and tone help dial it in and a pickup blend knob adds heaps of incredibly versatile tone sculpting.
